DataMan 800 Series Handheld Reader

Cognex® DataMan® 8000 readers set the new performance standard when it comes to industrial code reading. The high performance DataMan 500 fixed-mount barcode reader is powered by a proprietary vision chip technology, Cognex VSoC™ (Vision System on a Chip), providing unmatched barcode reading and ease of use not found in other image-based or laser systems available today.

DataMan 500 reads barcodes at twice the speed of other readers and is so easy to use, and reads codes so well, that it doesn’t have to be positioned optimally to achieve high read rates.

DataMan 500 is available in two models

DataMan 500 QL. For high-speed, 1-D barcode scanning applications in food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, document handling, and logistics applications.

DataMan 500 X. All the benefits of the DataMan QL reader 
plus 2DMax to read even the most challenging matrix codes 
in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and medical device industries.

Fixed Mount-Mount ID Reader

DataMan 100 and 200 Series readers provide the ultimate combination of high performance and versatility in an incredibly small fixed-mount ID reader. The readers provide 1D and 2D code reading on all models and the ability to read even the most challenging 2D direct part marks.

Cognex DataMan image-based ID readers represent a breakthrough in combining unmatched code performance (up to 45 reads per second), ease of use, and an extremely small size. Lighting, camera, processor, and communications are all integrated into an exceptionally small industrial housing, making the DataMan fixed-mount readers ideal for the most
demanding applications.

Cognex ID Products

ID Products quickly and reliably read codes (two-dimensional codes such as Data Matrix ™, 1D codes, and others) that have been stamped, etched, or otherwise formed directly on surfaces of manufactured items.
